About GERT
In December 2007, following several years of collaboration and discussion with PGIRS Santiago de Cali, twelve businesses including the city’s principle recycling organisations formed a corporation. The aim of their business: to respond to the opportunities offered through development changes by Emsirva and local government concerning the integrated management of solid waste.
Complying with its social objective, the company has focused on guaranteeing a continuous supply of recyclable materials and jobs for the associations and partner companies. Furthermore, they still actively adhere to environmental policies and contribute towards citizenship education for communities in order to facilitate an adequate management of solid waste.
For successful co-ordination of these activities, GERT SA ESP has its primary collection center of 5,000 square meters located in Barrio Evaristo Garcóa Commune No 4. The group has also structured a Department of Engineering and Environmental Management: encompassing qualified environmental professionals committed to supporting an array of customers and suppliers within the FAO and the framework of sustainability and diverse environmental programs.
GERT SA ESP wishes to be recognized as a leader in the value of recyclable solid waste: from its recovery and collection, until its conversion into a finished product useful to society. GERT SA ESP will strive to ensure profitability and principled social, economic and environmental advancement of all the business models with whom we participate. GERT SA ESP will actively contribute to mitigating the impact of global warming.
